Poor design
"This fridge appeared to meet our wishes and, initially, worked well. However, after about 6 weeks, water appeared from underneath it. The draining vessel for water from the cooling element had overflowed. A very helpful engineer attended but there was nothing he could do! It appears that the design is so energy efficient that the compressor doesn't get warm enough to evaporate the water. Hotpoint initially stated there is nothing wrong but, after another engineer visit, have agreed to a replacement. It appears this fridge isn't fit for purpose, needing a redesign to ensure the water evaporates. Very disappointed having enjoyed great service from our previous Hotpoint fridge."
