Runs very cold, annoying noise

"Don't buy if you are noise-sensitive. I bought it due to the reviews saying it was quiet but that wasn't our experience. Ours hums loudly 80% of the time, day or night.

I thought it was faulty as the back gets super hot and it feels like it is overrunning. The freezer needs defrosting after four months, the back of our fridge freezes over and freezes cucumbers if I have it on anything higher than 1.5 (I think the manual suggests to keep it at 2-4).

It is keeping our stuff very cold, so if you like that and don't mind noise/defrosting the freezer then this fridge is probably fine for you.

We got in touch with RH customer services who were super nice but said that the fridge was acting as normal. I can't afford to replace it with a new fridge so I just play music in the house / wear headphones to drown out the noise."

Perfect size for small family

"Brilliant size fridge freezer for myself and my daughter. Due to my daughter leaving the door open on my freezer (overnight) we clearly needed a new one. I use more fresh food so the smaller freezer is ideal for our needs. "

"Significantly quieter than the 30 year old Hotpoint it replaced (which died of a broken door hinge and rust.) Not a “frost free” type so there is no constant fan noise and it probably uses less electricity as a result. Same size and internal space as its predecessor although there is slightly more space in the door and correspondingly less in the interior. After allowing to settle for two hours after delivery it froze some ice cubes within ninety minutes; so therefore efficient at cooling. Can’t guess at long term durability but it looks well made. One of not many units with a large fridge and a small freezer on top - which is why I chose it. “Fridge on top” is more ergonomic (less bending down) but you have to either accept a taller unit or a smaller fridge.
