Samsung Series 4 Dual Cook Flex™ NV7B45205AS Built In Electric Single Oven - Stainless Steel

All seemed good until a week in.

"Purchased two of these to replace our old ovens. On the face of it they look really good, loved the fact that they can be set as two small ovens within each large oven. At first they seemed to work very well but then you figure out that the designers have gone for eco credentials above practicality. The light goes off after 3 seconds, no option on this, small thing but a pain. When grilling you have to close the door to get it to heat so when the light goes off, no way of glancing up to see how things are cooking, a big pain when you constantly have to keep turning on the light to see progress.

I cooked a tray of ribs that on any other occasion in my old ovens would have been 160 deg for 45 mins. Tried in these ovens to find they were still not cooked, I have to take them out of the half oven, remove the centre divider and cook in the full oven mode. Three hours later we sat down for a late meal.

Last thing, you only get one wire shelf in each and of course you need two so an additional purchase.

On other occasions with baking, all seemed OK so not sure why we had problems with the ribs.

Not particularly impressed and would happily revert to the old ovens."

Worst oven ever

"I don't know how it got such a high rating, it's beyond me. If I could I would give it no stars at all. Maybe it was just my oven but after 3 Samsung engineer visits who deemed the oven as "working within specifications" I can only assume that nobody really use an oven nowadays as an oven with most just heating up food or maybe cooking pre cooked meals or just like having an fancy oven for the show. I don't know. All I can say is, we really wanted to like this oven as it has tremendous reviews and promises a lot, on paper at least. In reality... It does not bake evenly: it burns in the corners leaving the middle still uncooked. This is difficult to deal with as there are no know to man techniques to turn the content around from the middle to the corners without ruining the dish. It is soooo slooow! We are comparing it with our previous Hotpoint and Electrolux before that, both budget ovens, both spot on with baking and quick. But not Samsung. It takes ages. Well, it takes 5 minutes according to the oven own temperature preheating indicator but we only found out when our food is still raw on completion of the programme and when the engineer said we should disregard the preheating indicator and leave the oven to preheat for at least 30 min. They had to send the engineer a third time to make them measure the temperature inside after preheating and indeed it was nowhere near what the target temperature was set at.

The engineer even said that the "fast preheating" , the "dual cook", the "preheating indicator" are all just gimmicks we should ignore. But we payed £££ for these "gimmicks" and it still doesn't perform as a basic oven even.

Then the Samsung customer service... Never again! We've never been more insulted and patronised, very politely, by staff who has absolutely no clue about their own product or cooking in it. 4 months of ordeal and still counting... "

"Great oven, quite hi tech, only issue I've found is that my mobile isn't compatible with the oven.

Also you only get 1 oven shelve, now considering you can split this oven into two, you only have 1 shelve."

Excellent oven

"This oven is terrific. Really happy with the purchase. I didn't think we'd use the Dual Cook function much, but honestly it's a game changer. We often only use the top oven and it's so fast to pre-heat!

The connectivity is also useful, getting a notification to our phones when preheated also saves a load of wasted electric!"
