Panasonic NN-55JTW Convection Grill / oven

"Bought as a replacement for an older version of this model which has given excellent service.

It has a few improvements to the last one like a fast ceramic grill which heats up in seconds a quick 30 seconds button which can set the cooking time up to 5 mins by simply pressing the button.

A chaos Defrost which uses a random sequence of pulsing microwave energy which speeds up the defrosting process.

A great price and l couldn’t be more happy with this purchase "

A reliable Panasonic microwave

"Neat design. Has all the functions of my old model which lasted 33 years!

Have tried 3 different functions with good results. I like the shiny steel interior which is easy to clean as is the glass turntable plate. I don't often buy pizza but as a treat I tried one on the rack above the metal and glass plate, absolutely perfect. Will definitely do that again. Always cooks a perfect jacket potato. I think inputting the weight of the item on some programmes gives a much better result."

Comparison with micro-wave only

"I bought this rather than the standard, similar, micro-wave only model because it was available in white and the other was not. Have used the standard oven part a couple of times but found that cakes cook on the top and outside rather quicker than in the middle. I think a bit more experimentation is required. the micro-waves are not as fine tuned as in the other model, you can't reduce their power in the same way. So far it works OK but not sure there is any advantage to it."
