Good fridge but alarm is mostly useless

"The fridge is good, it's very quiet and I like the "extra chiller drawer" for meat. However, there is one drawback. The door-open alarm sounds if the fridge is left wide open, but if the door is just ajar by an inch or two it doesn't go off! I very rarely leave the fridge wide open but often don't shut it with quite enough force, so this was a big drawback for me and I wasted a lot of food in the first few weeks.

Fortunately you can retrofit a third party door alarm, however it would be great if the manufacture one just worked properly in the first place."

"Great frost-free design, and "Perfect Fit" feature negates requirement to leave a space either side."

Very happy with capacity and how quietly it runs

"So much more room in the fridge and freezer sections than I expected. We have gone from having nowhere near enough space to more than enough and it's great. I'm so happy with this Fridge freezer and also the use of power is much lower than our old one. Win Win!"

Bosch 70/30 Fridge Freezer

"Large fridge with excellent capacity for a big weekly shop and appears to be keeping fresh fruit and vegetables fresher for longer than my old fridge. Freezer still has a good capacity with the 70/30 split, which suits us as we tend to buy more chilled than frozen food. More economic than other models to run which helped my decision on this model."

Excellent

"Ample room in both the fridge and freezer departments and well laid out which you would expect from a tall model. Much quieter than my previous fridge freezers. I have found that it freezes fresh meat and bread very efficiently without the need to use the fast freeze facility. Very pleased with my purchase."

horrible engineering - avoid

"

The fridge is all good and dandy and does what it says, it only has one major defect. When you spill any liquid (I spilled a lot of milk) it will all drain to what is called a drip pan, on the back of the fridge. In most fridges you can get the drip pan out, empty and clean it. But not on this one. The pan can not be removed and access to it is very limited. So once I spilled milk in the fridge, 2 days later my whole kitchen smelled like an old cheese factory. Getting the rotten milk out of the drip pan completely was not possible. I only managed to get some portion of it out, the rest will just rot in my brand new fridge forever. Luckily the smell is gone from the kitchen and can be smelled only when you get close to the back of the fridge. How can a company manufacturing home appliances for decades release a fridge with such a horrible anti-feature? Unbelievable. I will never buy anything from Bosch again."
