"Had a 'top brand' induction hob in my last house that cost more than double this - functionally and aesthetically there is no real difference so just buy this one. If anything it is quieter, the 'other brand' had an audible click as the heat went on and off (which is constant on an induction hob unless it is on full power), whereas this one is fairly silent. "
