Cons:

[1] The thermostat for the freezer is situated at the BACK of the freezer. Should you need to change the setting, the whole freezer must be pulled out from under the work surface, the thermostat adjusted and then the freezer pushed back into position. This was a straightforward exercise with an empty freezer but not looking forward to adjusting it when the freezer is full. In addition, to get the right setting, a freezer thermometer is necessary because there are no indicators on the freezer.

[2] Good luck if you need to reverse the way the door opens. The instructions in the manual are 10 cm by 3 cm, without any words, detailing ten steps. Even with a backlit magnifying glass, the images were almost impossible to read. It took me over half an hour, half a dozen tools, experience from serious car maintenance and several sticking plasters to effect the change. Take care when removing the feet. Poor materials and/or construction caused a vicious sliver of metal to form as I unscrewed one - hence the sticking plasters.

Moral of my experience: don’t buy a product unseen.

Under counter white freezer

"Nice looking Freezer, fits neatly under the worktop.

2 good size drawers and a quick freeze compartment with a drop down front. Very quiet appliance."

Replacement under counter freezer

"Unit seems quiet and efficient, and has not iced up much in the last 3 weeks. All draws good and solid with reasonable visibility through fronts and solid bottoms except for small front air circulation holes - No wire baskets.

Inside the top drop down front section at the top there is a removable ice tray not mentioned in the description, ideal for ice cube trays or can be removed to give extra head room in that section.

It had spacers to attach to the rear of the unit to ensure that it could not be pushed back too far to ensure good airflow, and was not quite as deep at the bottom so cleared the low waste pipe nicely at the back of the slot in location.

So far more than happy with my purchase.
