"Overall this is a very good hob - it looks good and it works just fine. Very simple to use, very simple to clean. We went with this model because the previous hob was a NEFF and that lasted nearly 30 years before it gave up the ghost.

It's well made as expected, although I would say that the stainless steel can be a bit tricky to clean thoroughly. Bought the cleaning kit for this and there are a couple of stains that refuse to lift from the surface. I believe they are from pasta water bubbling over... so... make of that what you will. Very odd for just that to leave such a tough stain. Nothing else has refused to lift off when cleaning other than these two small stains.

The heater knobs are very easy to use with zero resistance and the auto-ignition and safety cut off works perfectly. I was a bit concerned the buttons could look and feel a bit cheap and plastic-y when purchasing it, but they actually look fine and feel good to the touch when turning them. The double ring 'wok' heater (as described by the hob fitter) rapidly gets things very, very hot.

The cast iron pan supports are great. Very sturdy. One thing I will point out though is that in the first three months of use they were 'flaky' (little black bits - like shavings - that constantly needed to be wiped up) this has stopped now and hasn't occurred since the new year. I'm assuming that this is because they are now 'seasoned' from all the heating they've been exposed to? Although I would have thought that sort of final treatment would occur in the factory?

Cleaning is as you'd expect. You can quickly wipe it down in a few seconds with a damp cloth or you can pull it apart and scrub it clean over the course of a few minutes. Either way is not really a challenge - it just is what it is isn't it. I do appreciate that you can very easily pull it apart and it's never any trouble putting it back together. All the bits are well engineered and slide easily back in to their places. Takes a couple of goes to get to used to what goes where... but like I said - in the long term it's no trouble.

Tiny faults pointed out aside... If you do decide to buy this you will be genuinely very pleased with it and like myself have very few complaints (if any, like me, they'll be trivial). I'm quite sure that this will still look and work exactly the same after 5 maybe even 7 years. At the end of the day it's a hob, it heats up pans and whatever's inside them. It does its job perfectly... flawlessly even. Well done hob.

It's not going to win any design awards but it does still look very nice and sits well amongst the rest of the kitchen. It has a nice modern appearance.
