Good but loud
"This hood looks impressive and imposing and perfect over the Richmond deluxe range cooker that it is matched with. However, I would say that it is very, very loud, to the point where I would say that you can only really use it on the first setting, as the other higher settings are too loud to consider using. We planned to vent to the outside but this proved impossible due to the position if a metal lintel in the wall, so are having to use this with the filters that are supplied (it didn’t come with a ducting kit which I believe should have been supplied but this turned out to be a moot point). The filters do work well but it’s not what I had wanted ideally. There is a question over whether venting to outside would have made using the hood quieter, but I can’t really see how. Overall, it’s a good extraction hood and the lights on it look nice in the evening, but very noisy to use especially on full power (think jet engine taking off in your kitchen on the top setting!). "
