Great quality accessible hob.

"This is a really smashing hob.

Bought for my son to use as he is severely sight impaired.

It’s really safe and controllable.

It’s just great for his independence.

It also looks great in the kitchen ,easy to clean

too.

I like using it also.

It looks good sort of retro and contemporary at the same time!

We are looking forward to sample some very nice meals!

Looked around for a long time for this.

When you are sight impaired you really rely on sound ( bleeps/clicks etc) and also touch (dials as opposed to touch screen.)

This hob has these features to enable a visually impaired person to use it with confidence.

It is an really brilliant product for these reasons.

I cannot believe that there are not more of these type of hobs around.

This seems to be the only one now.

Great hob, easy controls, needs professional installation

"Reasonable installation instructions from Smeg as wiring links for 220v need to be changed from the default factory settings and cable is only 1m long so needed to be changed for my installation.

Putty-like sealant strips for worktop to bezel are fiddly but good and easy to trim once the hob is fitted. Under-worktop clamps are large and needed modification for a 600mm wide carcass. Controls are superb and easy for older users with arthritic hands, display is clear, heat warning disappears quite soon but otherwise a great bit of kit that transforms the kitchen.

AO service was excellent as usual, arrived next day with an accurate time slot. Delivery guys are great too."
