Fantastic oven shame Samsung skimped on the accessories

"This is an incredible oven.

Unlike the previous model which used codes and had touch controls, this one has a touch screen but also a jog wheel / knob. It also doesn’t use codes but plain text on a clear white on black screen.

You can divide the oven in half, so it’s two ovens in the space of a single oven built-in housing, and you can cook with different functions and temperatures in each section. It also has a full door not one of those half opening flexi door things.

We haven’t explored all the features yet but my tech shy wife, who was terrified of it when it was delivered, instantly took to it as it’s as natural to use as an ipad.

Where this looses marks is that even though this is an expensive oven Samsung have been cheap with the accessories.

It’s supplied with only one shelf (bear in mind it can be split into 2 sub-cooking zone ovens, one oven tray without grill insert, and a steamer tray.

The necessary extra shelf will set you back another £80 and the grill insert another £60, in an oven that’s cost nearly £2,000 already and the extras aren’t easy to find, their not listed on the Samsung site and the customer service line is manned by obstructive and stupid people.Hence the feeling Samsung have been cheap!

I would still definitely recommend this oven, it is truly a spectacular thing. It has wife and connects through the smart things app, so you get messages about pre-heat,reaching temp, end of cooking cycles extra. As we have a Samsung TV we even get messages pop up in the corner about the oven. "
