Very efficient on gas and heat value

"This oven is simple and very efficient with a very high efficiency rating. With energy bills as they are, it was very important to me to order this for my elderly mother. I particularly like the grill which equals out the spread of the flame so good receives an equal grilling. "

Disappointing

" I bought this cooker knowing that the oven was low down but had no choice, but as I have limited space have limited choice. The oven is tiny and underpowered. I’ve made 2 roasts with it that took forever. The second time I turned it up higher and it still took nearly 2 hours to cook the potatoes. The constant checking did nothing to help my back which was sore for days afterwards. Of course I have to get used to it but it’s so frustrating. Tonight I put a single ready fish pie dinner on number 6 instead of 5 and for 5 minutes longer than the instructions. Nowhere near hot, just luke warm, so I banged the oven up to 7 for another 10 minutes, still not hot, so number 8 for another 10 minutes before it was hot and safe to eat. It should have taken 23 minutes on 5 but took 45 minutes in all. Not economical gas wise. The hob is fine as long as you only put the right size pan on the rings as stated in the instructions. I made the mistake of putting a small pan I was making gravy in on a larger ring as it was taking ages to heat up on the smaller one, got a terrible fright when it toppled over, spilling the gravy down onto the floor which narrowly missed the cat! My bad though as was warned in the brochure not to do this. Haven’t used the grill yet as still getting used to attaching the handle which isn’t easy in my opinion. It’s early days so hopefully I’ll get used to it but have given up on the oven and decided to buy an air fryer instead of losing the will to live with the constant bending down and it taking forever to cook anything in this one. I suppose if the bending isn’t an issue for you it would be fine for a very small family, and you have more patience than me in finding the right settings for the oven. However if I’m having to heat something up on number 8 instead of 5 how long will it take to do the same for something that should go on number 8 as it only goes up to 9? I’m obviously disappointed in this product but only because it doesn’t meet my needs, I’m in my late 60’s and the oven placement is a serious challenge for me."
