Hotpoint Ultima HUI611X Electric Cooker - Stainless Steel

4.6 / 5 (7 reviews)

Fast and efficient cooking. Put your cooking skills to the test with the Hotpoint HUI611X double oven. Use the ceramic induction hob to cook potatoes, pasta or rice. Induction cooking heats the individual pan in use, rather than the surrounding surface. Underneath there are two ovens. The main cavity offers 71 litres of cooking capacity and a fan oven. It has catalytic liners too, which absorb any drips and spills. The second cavity offers a smaller 39 litres of room. Pop a pasta bake in the bottom oven and a selection of breads in the top and enjoy a tasty meal for the whole family.

Induction cooker

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good

Cons: Expensive, Noisy

"This is a well built cooker. Easy to use although the rings are very noisy and annoying. Need to make sure you have correct saucepans etc. My saucepans were ok but my pressure cooker was not so had to go and buy a larger saucepan to make jam etc."

Induction Hob is the way to go

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for money

Cons: None

"I had to replace a cooker which was only 5 years old (it cost over£1000.00) but the parts were no longer available.I have a single induction hob which i use outside when I have a BBQ, I had timed the the ceramic hob against the induction hob and it was 5 mins quicker than the ceramic hob to boil a pan of water.

With the induction hob you have the instant response of gas with the ease of cleaning of a ceramic hob. In fact it is easer to clean than a ceramic hob as it is the pan that heats up and not the hob so spills do not bake on.

The Hob is as good as I thought it would be, in fact it is so quick to heat the pans you need to use a lower setting than you would think you would need, but you will soon adjust to the settings you need.

Because the Hob does not heat up spills can be cleaned as you cook i.e. fat splashes can be wiped off as you cook.

The grill has two positions the left side only or both sides on, The grill heats very quickly and evenly (4 slices of cheese on toast cooked evenly). The top oven is a good size and will cook a family meal.

The main oven is as a good size and will cook a good size turkey. The timer allows the setting of delayed cooking start time and length of cooking time.

If you register the cooker you get a 10 year parts guarantee which solves the problem of the cooker being scrap in 5 years.

To sum up this cooker is much better than my previous cooker which cost a lot more.

The induction hob is is so much better then gas or ceramic it would be silly not to buy a induction Hob"

Even better than expected

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for money

"Having done a lot of research we were a little apprehensive about buying our first induction cooker but are so glad we did. We knew we would have to buy new pans, but they were due for replacement anyway. The hob heats amazingly quickly, but also turns off/down instantly. Build quality seems OK, we haven't noticed any problems so far. The ovens are very roomy, though the main oven seems a little slower to get to temperature than our old Zanussi. The grill cooks evenly and is very controllable. The hob is a delight to clean, needing just a quick wipe. The only thing I would change is that the labels for the hob are beneath the knobs, and thus hard to see, but you soon learn which is which.

It struck me that it would be ideal for my elderly mother because unlike gas, you can't leave it on. When the pan is removed it switches off. Overall we are really pleased."

Overall good but...

Pros: Ease to use, Looks good, Quiet

Cons: Hob VERY buggy, Knobs are cheap, Poor quality

"2 months into owning this cooker:

Pros: Excellent Primary and Secondary Oven

Cons: Hob has gone faulty where one ring shows 'H' symbol (meaning its hot) continuously and the remainder of the rings show No 'H' even thow the surface is RED hot. The numbers on the dials / knobs are lightly painted on to the degree when you just (literally) touch them and the numbers come off. Waiting for parts.

I would NIOT recommend this cooker based on my experience.

Excellent induction cooker

"This cooker is brilliant for a growing family.

It has a large capacity (71 litres) with two cavities, so there is lots of space within the oven for cooking large meals.

It also has a small conventional oven as part of the grill which is perfect for cooking for 1-2 people or small cakes or pies.

It has fantastic Catalytic/Stay Clean Liners, which help exceedingly well with keeping the oven clean by catching any spills from the food.

It has an interior light in both the grill and main oven, and a LED display, which has the option to set the time and use as a timer.

The main oven is very quiet; the first time I used it, I had to go back and check it was on because it was so quiet.

It heats up very quickly and is fan assisted.

The heat also turns off when you open the door - this is a brilliant feature.

The oven also has a large, clear door which helps you to check on the food without having to open the door.

The ceramic hob (induction) heats up very quickly, and the hobs are very spacious within each other, making it easy to use and if you use all four hobs, then your pots and pans will have enough space.

Please remember this is an Induction cooker, so you need to purchase the right pans to use on the induction hob.

The hob will tell you if your pans are not compatible by displaying 'u'.

The hob is extremely easy to clean - which is one of the main features I love about this cooker.

I have had trouble in the past with electric cookers and keeping them clean, but with this cooker, any spills will lift straight away and leaves the cooker looking brand new again!

I would highly recommend this cooker; it fits right into our busy lifestyle and doesnt leave me waiting around for it to heat up!"
