"Seems to work well enough apart from at first fitting it didn’t work as it wasn’t fitted to the cupboard doors properly. The team had to come back to fix it which took some time to arrange. The fridge there in the freezer are as described and it works perfectly well. the small drawer at the top of the freezer section is useful. "

There’s also a dedicated fruit and veg drawer with increased humidity, which helps keep produce fresher for longer. The freezer section is spacious, with three drawers, and it doesn’t frost up. Another clever addition is the ability to switch off the fridge compartment while keeping the freezer on – ideal when going away on holiday. The WiFi feature is a nice touch too. Finally, the fridge runs incredibly quietly. You can barely hear it, which is great in an open-plan space. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this appliance – it’s well designed, efficient, and full of thoughtful features. "

I’ve spent time testing this Fridge in a real kitchen setting, and it attracts the eye with its clean design, smart tech, and practical features that cater to modern living. One of the first things that stood out was how easy this unit was to install! Despite its external dimensions being almost the same as our old fridge we gained some extra space in the fridge and freezer thanks to the thinner walls of the Heier fridge. In total it offers 182L in the fridge and 86L in the freezer, which is just perfect for what we need. The things I was focusing the most while testing it and which stood out to me were: • MyZone Drawer: A real game-changer. The temperature in this compartment can be adjusted independently, perfect for things like chilling drinks or preserving meat. Even better, the hOn app makes it incredibly easy to adjust on the fly. • Humidity Zone: Maintains up to 90% humidity, keeping fruit and veg fresher for longer. We only had the fridge for a week but so far we were impressed with the freshness of our fruits and veggies. • Daylight LED Lighting: Clean, bright, and well distributed across the fridge. No more digging around in the dark corners, I love it. • App Connectivity (hOn): The app allows control over temperature, mode switching, and even notifies you if the door is left open. However, one of the features—the barcode scanning for expiry date tracking—is less impressive. While it’s a clever idea, in practice, it’s too slow and tedious to use consistently, making it more of a novelty than a must-have. I really enjoy not hearing our fridge anymore! Running at just 32 dB, the fridge is whisper-quiet—even without the cabinets door installed just yet. The Haier HBW7518CTK is a fridge freezer that gets the fundamentals right and adds meaningful extras on top. The MyZone drawer, app control, and easy installation make it a standout for those upgrading their kitchen. While the barcode scanner feels a bit undercooked in terms of practicality, the rest of the smart features are genuinely helpful and enhance day-to-day use. Smart, stylish, and straightforward—this is a fridge freezer that feels designed for real life, not just a spec sheet. We are enjoying using it and seeing if it can surprise it with anything else in the future. "

"We had bought a Haier freezer a couple of years ago so when we needed a new Fridge/Freezer we did look again for the Haier brand. The humidity drawer is great and the "My box" function really versatile. We are really happy with it. "
