"The hardware is great, the software isn't. The smart apps seemed to operate fine but once I had the TV aerial plugged in, it was a world of laggy pain. Change the volume and the OSD will show this about 30 secs later. TV guide sometimes takes an age to update. Typing in a channel number takes ages to refresh. Sometimes won't switch off, and sometimes won't switch on (with remote). The remote receives the button presses but the lag is embarassingly long sometimes. Tried all software updates, and resetting TV as per instructions.
I've taken about 5 videos showing the general operation and Philips sent out a USB from Poland to the UK for a forced software update. This was the same version I'd already got installed, didn't fix anything. Sme issues this was about two weeks in, 3 cases open and lots of my time wasted.
Philips customer care and support was pretty shocking after time kept passing and nothing working. No one took any responsibility for the software issues. Really disappointing. Finally managed to get AO to exchange TV and went with Sony. Hoping for a better result. "
