"I’m chuffed with my fridge freezer!
This model is a replacement to the original fridge freezer I bought-a different make/model. My beloved Bosch of 21 years gave up without warning as it’d suddenly run out of gas. After much research I chose the first fridge freezer. The day after defrost I quickly realised it didn’t freeze down adequately. The engineer confirmed it had an inadequate amount of gas! So I spent yet more time back choosing a replacement and chose this model. I’m delighted the first one was duff! This is sleek looking in the light grey colour. The handles for both halves are along the front edges, no big sticking out handles. The fridge part is MASSIVE! it’s really deep and as all shelves are moveable to your preferred arrangement, you can really fit lots inside. The single veggie/salad drawer is fab. My old Bosch had 2 and I loved them (!) but this holds so so much more without the divide in the middle. Lots of door pocket configuration possibilities so personally, I’ve no problem for storing tall bottles. It’s really very good.
There are only 3 freezer drawers and all 3 are the same size. But they are all deep and as the handle of each is on the bottom edge, I’m hoping they won’t crack, as it’ll cope with the weight of the drawer’s contents. Yes, being a clear plastic is a great idea intended for you to see exactly what you have buried inside each drawer, though in reality it instantly fuzzes up with the room temperature difference once you open the door.
I was adamant I wanted to be able to control the temperature of each section. The interior fridge controls are easy to adjust and not in the way at all. However, I was surprised to find the only way to adjust the freezer temperature is via the app..? Seems a bit odd that the top part is manual but the bottom part is WiFi operated? And moreover, the Wi-Fi in my house doesn’t extend to the utility room where the fridge freezer is located! So actually the app is a feature I’ve paid for and can’t use. Maybe when I move home one day..? But it’s been really great on its factory default temperature setting-clearly has a full gas cylinder!
Buy one of these and you will be very pleased. Very pleased, indeed.
(Not to mention the wonderful helpful cheerfulness of all 3 staff at the call centre who were great in taking my first order, arranging the engineer’s visit, arranging the return of the first delivery and the replacement delivery). Very polite delivery drivers, too.
