Plenty bright, and great value!

"Excellent TV. Upgraded from an LG B8.

Was considering the 806 and the C1, but after doing a lot of research, taking into consideration the price and specs, the 706 does an excellent job. Ambilight is great, if it's not going to be wall mounted, the 3 sides on this set are perfect.

For those concerned about it not being bright enough, it's comfortably viewable in a brightly lit room and has a semi-matt anti-reflective coating on the screen. Bear in mind, I have the OLED brightness set to only 75 too for daytime viewing!

Sure the 806 is meant to be a touch brighter, but only perceptably noticeable in a side by side when viewing specular highlights, even then, hard to distinguish. It's running the same panel, so tuned for a lower peak brightness (similar to how LG and others do on their low mid end models), potentially adding some more longevity to the panel. Worth paying 40%+ more for something that's for marginal HDR highlights. Has the exact same chipset as the 806, and currently receiving the same firmware and bugfix updates too.

A lot of TV and a lot of Feature for the money!!

"Fantastic TV, upgraded from a LG C9 55". Ambiliight is a game changer. Picture took some fine tuning but once set up is comparable to my old LG which was class leading.

Only point to note would be only HDMI 1&2 offer full HMDI 2.1 features with the other 2 HMDI's limited to 4k60."

Ok so far, maybe save for the 806.

"Not sure yet. Had it a week and it seems to go cloudy/patchy while playing Xbox Series X which is why I bought the tv in the 1st place. I've fiddled with settings on the tv and Xbox but think the tv might be bad. Also it says the tv supports any bracket with VESA 300x300 which is sort of true. I bought a One For All bracket that goes on any tv up to 65inch but because this tv has a subwoofer placed right in the middle on the back it was rattling the bracket so the volume couldn't be loud. The girlfriend has put wool in between to cushion the speaker. Also just a note for 1st time OLED buyers, if the tvs on for 6+ hours the tv will say the tv needs turned off to clean the screen for 10 minutes. You can say not now twice and 3rd time you have no choice. There's also an option to manually do it but that one it for an hour! Wish I could have afforded the 806. Scared this is faulty because the hassle of getting it sorted with Philips is a ball ache. Never nowt easy :("
