"I bought this to replace a Neff integrated standard model whose heat pump had died and which was losing seal integrity at the back and sides after years of faultless service. I was pleased to see that the new one still used the same dispenser drawer, filter, spray arms and fittings. It's fundamentally the same machine, with a few updates. This meant I was able to rescue a few 'spares' from the old one, not that I'm anticipating needing to use them any time soon. Installing the machine was straightforward, including raising and levelling using the adjustable feet (the rear foot is adjusted from the front using a 10mm mini socket or flat screwdriver, and the mechanism worked smoothly). Although the installation sheet appeared at first glance to present a lot of information at once, the information was useful - including QR codes that, when scanned with a smartphone, linked to quick-loading videos of the step in question. Cleverly, the installation information sheet is designed to be exactly the right size to act as a template for the cover panel, and when placed correctly (using the information provided) provides precise locations of the holes needed to attach the cover panel to the dishwasher door. Since the panel mounting holes were in exactly the same place as on the old machine, replacement was super-easy in this case, but if I was installing it for the first time the template would have been really helpful. Following the instructions and taking it steady meant a solid, accurate and leak-free installation that has needed no tweaking afterwards. Adjusting for water hardness and rinse aid consumption was also straightforward using the manual. In use, the new machine is quieter as it has insulating material around it. The controls are straightforward and intuitive with no unnecessary fuss, and the machine generally looks and feels well made. It's easy to initiate a wash program, or cancel it if you make a mistake. I haven't used the home connect app to control the dishwasher remotely (if it could load and unload itself I'd be sold!) and that wasn't a feature of the machine that attracted me anyway. The machine didn't come with loads of unnecessary packaging, and is potentially repairable which is a good thing. As far as a dishwasher is able to inspire pleasure, I'm quietly pleased with this. If it performs and lasts like it's predecessor, I'll be delighted."
