Great Value 55inch UHD TV

"Picked the least expensive TV in the 55 inch UHD range. We are absolutely delighted with the picture, features and appearance of the set. We have wall mounted the TV and the slim bezel looks really good. We use the TV with a Virgin 360 box and the UHD content is excellent. This TV is a great entry level introduction to UHD TV and works well with my current surround sound system."

Great picture but could be more ports eg for co-axial connectors.

"Purchased this Smart TV for my dad to replace a Panasonic Viera 50" TV. The picture looks bigger than the Panasonic due to the fact 4" was taken up by the surrounding bezel. The picture is pin sharp but the speaker sound is inferior compared to the Panasonic. Dad had his Panasonic linked up to his Bang and Olfsen Home Theatre system which is 30 years old and therefore does not have Bluetooth built in unlike this Samsung Smart TV. Reading previous reviews I also bought the Sound Bar to go with the Samsung TV. I'm glad I did. The paper instructions are very brief so it's best to use the eManual which is accessed via pressing the Source button then scrolling along. I have tried to link the old B & O system up to the Samsung Smart Tv using an HDMI Audio Extractor but without success ( hence the 4 stars not 5) Unlike the old Panasonic Viera, this Samsung TV does not have co-axial ports just three HDMI + one optical+ one USB std port. I have bought some Wireless headphones that use Bluetooth - they work fine with the Smart TV but only one Bluetooth connection is allowed so the Sound Bar goes off when the headphones come on. However this does give the single viewer dedicated access but other viewers would hear nothing. I have not tried the Ultra HD yet but expect the picture to be even sharper. All in all a great TV once you master the Remote - both standard and Smart. I prefer the Std remote as there are more options. The legs are quite sturdy but only just fit onto the old Panasonic stand with 1/2" to spare on either side so I'm careful not to bump it as I have heard the screens crack easily much like the iphones. Perhaps Samsung could develop a screen overlay that would 'toughen up' the screens to prevent this. There is also an Ethernet port and a printer port? that is patched over for dust protection. We also bought a 32" Samsung Smart TV at the same time off ao.com so dad can use the headphones on that and I'll watch the 55". Delivery was efficient and on time with a text message to say they were on their way. I Freecycled both of my Panasonic Vieras as I think the £20 recycle cost for each one is a bit high. - it used to be £9. However they did take my old kettle and two irons away. The HDMI-ARC - tried to link this to my dad's old B & O system with the HDMI Audio Extractor but no luck. A good buy considering the price of the OLED TVs which are over £1000 each and, not mentioned in the blurb ( cos we had one once) the bulb used to back light the screen costs hundreds to replace - ours was £350 and that was years ago. Food for thought."
