"Having had 2 Samsung TV's previously, but both now very old and 1 finally died after 17 years, I was undecided on whether to go for an up to date basic 4K LCD TV such as the Samsung AU9000 as wasn't sure the extra money for the Q80A QLED would be worth it. I decided to go for the Q80A as it was at a really good offer price. How, wrong I was about whether it would be worth the extra money for the Q80A and how utterly delighted I was with the quality of this TV. It looks and feels like a premium product and has enough connections for us, 4 HDMI's, 1 with e-arc ans 2 USB's. The TV was easy to set up and add all our streaming apps to the really good Tizen software on the TV. Freeview works really well and the Tizen software is clear, clean and easy to use. Once set up, we immediately played a 4K UHD movie via a streaming platform and WOW! The picture was simply stunning and blew my 8 year old other basic Samsung LCD TV out of the water. The colours, brightness. clarity were simply astonishing. The sound was also surprisingly good for a wafer thin TV, although as most people would recommend using a soundbar which would improve the sound enormously, the inbuilt speakers did a decent job. Alexa works really well. The smart remote is a nice touch and allows controlling all our components i.e. the TV, Freeview Recorder, Firestick etc. and it is powered by light so no batteries required. 1 week in and I'm still loving this TV and still amazed at the picture quality even in standard SD or HD on Freeview and 4K movies and shows are simply awesome to watch. Would highly recommend the Q80A. "
"Was amazed with the picture quality of this TV. Having been used to an older Samsung LCD TV from 2014, the difference on this QLED, is simply astounding. Simple to set up, great operating system, has ALEXA and great rechargable small smart remote. Watched a 4k movie on Prime after setting up the TV and was blown away. It almost felt like you could reach out and touch the actors, it was so clear and very surprised how good the sound was, with a decent bass, although of course a soundbar would improve dramatically, for a thin TV, the sound is much better than expected. An excellent QLED tv that looks and feels premium. Enough hdmi connections for us, 4 in total, 1 with e-arc for a soundbar, superb picture quality and works really well in daylight bright Room as well as in the evening with the lights off. With a decent sound, great operating system, remote and ALEXA and at a good price, definitely 5 stars."

"This is an excellent value for money TV. Other online reviews suggest that the blacks aren’t as good as they could be but honestly that’s nitpicking. The blacks are incredibly good. Sound quality good but a little thin of base as you’d expect so I’d recommend a sound bar with any new tv.
The stand is heavy and sturdy. The picture quality is excellent. The smart interface is easy to use. Highly recommend this TV. "
