"Seems decent. It's fairly loud, but it doesn't help that in my new house there isn't a place to put it that doesn't exacerbate the volume; it's maybe not worse than other similarly priced fridges. Absolutely no icing up so far!"
"Disappointing. The fridge is sold as having a 104-litre capacity but what they don’t tell you is the glass shelves are incredibly short leaving a huge empty space at the front of the fridge that cannot be used, therefore the fridge is actually far smaller and probably only offers around 88 litres space. The shelves have no plastic protection on three sides meaning they’re at risk of breakage and the positioning of the shelves is appalling not even allowing a standard Yeo Valley yogurt carton to be stored. The salad crisper drawer is tiny and the door upper shelves have a lip on them preventing even a standard box of 6 eggs to be stored inside their carton. The second door shelf meanwhile will not even hold any small condiment bottles.
The freezer compartment is a good size but the door is flimsy and does not seal properly so there is ice build-up on the outside of the compartment meaning I’ve having to de-ice daily to prevent the door from sticking.
I previously had a Lec R5517W which is listed as having only a 97-litre capacity yet due to better design it has longer shelves (plastic all round) so you can fit in far more food, and the salad drawer is much bigger. The sensible design of the door shelves also allows for masses of items to be stored including condiment bottles on the second shelf. How I wish I had just purchased another. Its only problem was the handle on the freezer door broke twice so I hoped Sharp would be better. Sadly not, this is flimsy and badly designed.
