"Of the 3 hoover products I have, I would say this is the one that I have felt most disappointed with, that said it isn't the only one with faults. It doesnt feel particularly solid, and some other minor bits, It's slim but still gets quite a bit in it. Its fastest warm wash is not really fast, and the eco one us just under 5 hrs!!! Not really encourage me to use it sadly.

Generally it does the trick."

Not recommended

"I’ve had this dishwasher for 10 months and I wouldn’t recommend it. The only cleaning cycles that actually clean are the more intensive ones ie less green - the eco one is hopeless. The detergent/tab compartment frequently doesn’t open so I’ve abandoned using that. It doesn’t rinse well - there are often bits of detergent still on the glasses & if you put in a pan, say, that has had something bitty in it like pesto, it ends up over everything. Even if I put the machine on straight away after putting things in it, it rarely gets cups clean so I’m having to wipe them inside before putting them in the machine (quite often feels easier to wash up by hand). On the plus side, you can fit in quite a lot & it’s fairly quiet. Slimline dishwashers are expensive compared to full size ones but next time I think I’ll spend a bit more money on a better one."

Hoover HDPH2D1049W Slimline Dishwasher - Very impressed

"Replaced my twelve year old Siemens which had finally given up its ghost.

I have had this running this machine for about a month and so far I am pretty impressed with it.

Highlights

1. The documentation is concise and clear.

2. This dishwasher is easy to setup, if you have existing plumbing.

3. Quality of washes is very good ( I use Program P6 - Special as default )

For its price tag, it is a decent performing no frills dishwasher with basic functionality.

Lowlights

1. The amount of dishes I can wash in a cycle is ~15% less than what my previous dishwasher, i.e. this machine has smaller volume.

2. Pre-programming it is not quite intuitive and fidgety due to poor display and limited buttons. But this is a compromise for a machine in this price point.

3. Warranty is for 1 year only. The 10 year parts warranty that Hoover markets is only applicable if you pay and callout the vendor's technician. So be aware of this point.

Gritty deposits on everything, difficult to load

"I've had this dishwasher about a year now. It was bought to replace a very basic Ariston model that was about 10 years old.

The main problem is that it leaves gritty residue after almost every wash. I've tried cleaning the filter, dishwasher cleaning products, bleach, vinegar (not at the same time!) and no joy.

Additionally, many times the dishwasher tabs don't get deposited into the dishwasher properly, meaning that at the end of the cycle there is undissoved dishwasher tablet all over the insides and the supposedly clean items.

I can't find a way to safely put the wine glasses in the upper basket - where they fitted fine in the old machine.

The cutlery basket is not as good as the old machine either - if you don't put teaspoons or knives in one way, they go through the mesh of the basket and catch on the spray arms.

I would not recommend."
