For the space inside, I'd have thought I would be able to get another shelf. Also the door storage is limited. I had a freestanding 150cm fridge prior to this, and it had twice the amount of door storage for bottles"
"Had this built in fridge installed mid September 2022, noticed a sound a few weeks later of what sounded like a tap running for about 5 seconds then stopped. I ignored it at first but it happened over and over then at the end of October 2022 water was literally pouring from the back and side of my fridge cupboard unit. Inside the fridge was fine but outside the fridge were lots of puddles. I took the Fridge out the unit and the drip tray at the rear was overflowing. The fridge was nearly £500 but my integrated larder unit was £600 so I did not want this ruined by all the water so I cleaned all the water and drained the tray. I put the fridge back but mounted it a few mm closer so door could make better seal as I thought that was the issue and had an engineer come over to inspect the fridge and the seal and he said it looks all OK now so see how I get on.
Well less than 4 weeks later near the end of November 2022 I hear the same tap like sound of water running, this time I did not ignore it and wait for Fridge to flood my unit. I pulled it out again right away and again the drip tray was overflowing!
From my understanding the back of the fridge is the wet wall and when the water runs down it goes through the drip hole into the drip container and should evaporate from the heat of the motor... this is not happening. I have called AO and they have agreed to replace it. The customer service is good from AO but the product is unfortunately concerning to me. I have been given exact same Hot Point replacement and it has been installed on 10 Dec 2022. It's now 24th Dec 2022 so 2 weeks later and I can hear the dreaded tap noise again and this is a brand new replacement...apparently. I'm dreading that my Fridge larder unit will flood again and I will have to contact AO once more, please avoid this Fridge.
Not a nice way to spend Christmas!."
