To test the oven ( my cakes always sink in the middle) I made a Victoria sponge and to my delight the end result was perfect.

"I bought this oven because we have had the same one before. They have changed the design slightly, the handle and outer ring of the knobs are black, this looks okay although I was expecting stainless steel as per image. The other thing they have changed is the rack design. The old oven, like many others, had removable side bars and the racks slid on the bars. They have now dispensed with these side bar, assume cost saving and the racks now slide directly on the side walls of the oven and it's just not very easy to slide them in and out, they tend to lock up. Perhaps it time when the oven gets more greasy they will operate more smoothly. Hence only 3 stars."
