"Honestly it was the best decision I’ve ever made I have an obsession with hosting and making food and giving it out to my friends and family the freezer has amazing amount of space and just so helpful especially when I do my bulk shopping it’s not noisy either it was a really good buy I absolutely love the freezer "

"its ok but the seal on the lid is faulty and dose not seal hotpoint will be coming to fix it , but very difficult to get hold of hotpoint they do not call you back when you arrange a call back done this 6 times but no call back"

"Modern chest freezer replacing out 35+ year old zanussi chest freezer which gave up in the heatwave. Slightly smaller dimensions, but a lot less room inside, because a) thicker walls and b)baskets. Not sure how I feel about the baskets but I can take them out. Looks fine, looks efficient and economical compared to previous one. Fast freeze button will be useful. Too early to say how really I get on with it. "

I have noticed compared to an old whirlpool which must be 10+ years old, the hotpoint is very light weight and feels a bit plastic which to me suggests the quality is not as good as the Whirlpool its replacing, I would have kept the whirlpool as it was only a seal which had gone but the price for a replacement part wasn't worth the repair considering its age and the fact the unit might break down soon. I have found the hotpoint is also noisy in comparison when it runs.
It does however appear not to frost up like the whirlpool did, space inside is about the same, the quality of the baskets is not as good and again feel less robust. Has a lockable lid and is supplied with x1 key.
The unit itself looks nice and clean in the house if thats your sort of thing, went with this model as it will eventually be used in an out building which isn't heated, the spec on this suggests it will be fine working in cooler conditions though which is why I picked it.
Only time will tell whether this was a good choice compared to what else was available at a similar price point, the hotpoint does come with a 10 year parts guarantee.
Delivery from AO went as planned, guys were fine on the day, no issues with that aspect at all."
