"Had to give 1 star but would give it minus a trillion stars. Freezer is not frost free. Stops the fridge working when it freezes ever 5 days. £600 worth Of rubbish. I am so upset I have wasted money. Don’t buy this"
"Steer well away from this fridge-freezer. It's nice to look at but that's where it all ends I'm afraid. I bought one Oct 2021 and had no end of problems and poor Hotpoint/Whirlpool customer service. Few engineer visits later over the last 2 months (a couple of no shows in the process), I had no consistent means to store typical items - milk etc and had no fridge-freezer during build up to Xmas and over Xmas. Main issue was poor fridge-freezer temp. Turns out the fan keeps freezing so poor design IMO and will probably keep happening beyond the 12 month guarantee. The Active Oxygen function is a worthless gimmick and never worked. It was never fixed despite me reporting it all the time. Final straw was the fridge door falling off Jan 2022 whilst I was shutting it. I'm lucky to still have my toes and right foot as it crashed just beside it. The top hinge of the door is clearly flimsy and cannot support the weight of the door especially with items stored on the shelves and water in the tank. The engineer who came out for this finally condemned the wretched thing and I've been offered a code for refund or exchange as I bought it from a reputable shop. No doubt I'll go for credit and look for an alternative fridge-freezer. The stress we've been through as a family has been indescribable!!! Buy at your own peril!!!"
"First of all sales and service experience with AO was superb this bad review is nothing to do with them. My problem is with this Fridge and Hotpoint who refuse to accept that there is a fault with this appliance. So if there is no fault then it must be a design feature that you really dont want. The 0 degree compartment is supposed to keep meat at 0 degress to stay fresh for longer. What a great idea accept it does not work. This area maintains a tempreature of -2 when the fridge is set to 6 degrees when set cooler in the summer it dropped to -10. Even at just -2 anythign placed in this draw freezes within hrs and renders this part of the fridge utterly uselss"
