"Brought to replace a 16 year old LG direct drive machine. The new one is quiter and smoother. Still trying the washing programs so haven't gained a complete picture of it's washing performance, but overall seems good. Clothes apear to be just as dry despite top spin speed of only 14000 rpm as apposed to the old machines 16000."

"We had our last lg direct drive for 16 years and it only ever had one repair to its display. It never stopped. We ran a b&b and ran that machine 5 times a day, 7 days a week, all year with bedding and towels, etc until it finally gave up last week Can't fault it for the service it gave. We've retired now and we're jokingly saying this may be the last one we'll ever buy if it goes as long as the first one with the light use it gets now. Absolutely delighted to see we could almost get a like for like. My only wish would be that it still had a 'favourites' button like my last one (or may be it does but I just haven't found it yet). "

"Seems to be a bit deeper front-to-back taking into account the door than the website suggested, but fits just fine into the space we had for it. It is very quiet, and although it replaced a 1400 spin machine, this seems to get the clothes much drier than the old machine. Plenty of options on cycles, and although slower than the machine it replaces, it cleans better, and uses a lot less electricity (seriously 0.2kwh of electricity for a 4kg load if you aren't in a hurry is amazing! Easy to operate, very quiet in operation, and so far does a really good job of cleaning, even at lower temperatures. The door-lock mechanism is very positive, so you really know when it's started, and when it's finished (in addition to the little tune it plays). "
