Top quality larder fridge

"I chose the Bosch Series 6 KSV36AWEPG Larder Fridge as I am gradually replacing my kitchen appliances for Bosch products. The fridge is 4 ins taller than my old larder fridge. I was sure it was going to be the same size having measured it. This means that it is 4 ins taller than my larder freezer next to it, no problem as I will change my old freezer in due course. The handle is on the opposite side to my old fridge, no problem as my old fridge was delivered with the handle on the wrong side anyway, and it's hilarious watching the family waving their arms about trying to open the door on the opposite side. However, there are instructions to change the door opening around if required. I love that there are 2 full width vegetable and salad drawers, my old fridge had only 2 half width drawers and it was difficult trying to fit in a cauliflower and cabbage in one drawer. I also love the placing of the door shelves, which are well spaced for tall bottles. There is also a bottle rack under one of the internal shelves. A big plus is the door alarm in case the door is left open accidentally - I keep medication in the fridge which needs to be at a certain temperature, and I feel happier that this fridge has an alarm, which incidentally has proven its worth. I don't dislike anything about the fridge - other than the high price tag for Bosch products.

It works, I like it but it's not love, yet.

"Bought to replace a broken fridge/freezer. Could not afford or find preferred choices but so far have no serious regrets. Miss an ice box but a walk to a chest freezer in the garage isn't exactly a major hardship. And there will be a drop in choc ice consumption which must be a bonus.

Unpretentious white box. I don't know the temperature but feels cold at a 4C setting. Quiet. Hopefully should be easy to clean - no silly water reservoirs or twiddly awkward bits. Food stocked so far mainly dairy and vegetables and are keeping well.

Although there may be the same or greater volume than my previous, the tall and narrow design versus wider and slightly deeper is not helpful in terms of usable storage space. "

Bosch larder Fridge

"Sadly although the fridge is well designed, every time you use it something switches on which sounds like a very annoying buzzy insect, although it goes off after a few minutes it is very irritating.

It wasn't easy to swap the door to open from the left, and the instructions were poor."

Depth !

"Depth is 68cm, not 65cm, so sticks out from my kitchen units too much, so slightly disappointed. I was expecting it to stick out a few cm, but then you have to add the spacers on the back which stops the fridge from being pushed up against the wall (to aid air flow/cooling).

Otherwise, all ok…"

All-round excellent fridge

"I did a lot of research before buying a larder fridge. The Bosch ticks all the boxes in terms of space and flexibility. I especially like the two bins which are plenty big enough to hold the weekly vege shop, plus the clever design of one of the door shelves means that you can adjust its height. The fridge looks great, the handle is beautiful and the logo unobtrusive. It's also super quiet.
