Our machine died error F08, 15 months from purchase date (even though it was delivered approx a month later by AO !)
Called Hotpoint customer service, they said it had 10 years free parts warranty but labour+ call-out charge would be £154.99, after haggling on 2nd call was quoted £130, finally £97.50
One would expect a washing machine to last at least 4 or 5 years not just over 1 year, do Hotpoint think they're selling us a toaster!!
Will try contacting AO, to see if they are any better not having high hopes after reading some of the comments on the internet though."
