"My wife bought this speaker shortly after I bought a similar priced speaker for my home computer set up. And I have to admit, I'm jealous.
The LG sound quality is much better than my speaker, especially for music (I use the speaker for both calls and music). It's more compact too, making it easy to move around. We've even taken it out to a small picnic.
The base is surprisingly booming, and my wife tells me the battery life is great too. "

"This is a great compact speaker which still gives plenty of volume despite its size. What stands out about it though is the excellent sound quality. Easy to use and to connect. So versatile, my son has listened to audio books in the bath whilst the speaker is in the hallway, weve taken it to the park and danced in the kitchen! Loveky sleek look and matt black finish, stands on its side well and great indoors or outdoors. Great to find out its splashproof too just in case it rains. Woukd definitely recommend this speaker, would be great for camping too! Really like the slick compartment on the end to protect the charging point . Great compact speaker!"

"This speaker looks small but has good output. It’s enough to be heard through our house without deafening anyone in the process. It has a ultra sleek design, especially where the ports are hidden.

"Hello, I needed a good portable speaker which I could take with me during my business trips and holiday to listen to music. I totally understood that it would be a compromise between size of the speaker and quality of music - because the smaller speaker, the lesser variety of frequencies it could produce. However, PL2 surprised me in this area. It actually produces a very decent sound! Of course it was not as good as any other "grown up" speakers, but it felt that the sound was covering most of the frequencies of songs I listen to. I tested the speaker using Bluetooth and wired connection - didn't see the difference. As far as I know, PL2 supports SBC and AAC codecs for Bluetooth, no apt-X or any other higher rate codecs, but I guess the quality of the sound is is limited not by codecs but by physical size of the speaker because it sounded the same via Bluetooth and an audio-cable. Having said this, I actually liked the sound of this speaker much better than a sound of my Dell computer soundbar that had 2 speakers and larger in size. The sharpness, clearness of the sound was much better. Also I was impressed by "Sound boost". The music was getting a "volume" when "Sound boost" was "on". I tried to listen to the music with it being "off", however, after a few second reverted to "on". Cannot see the reason not to have "Sound boost" as "on" by default and even without a button, but, I presume, LG wanted to brag how they managed to improve the sound usign firmware :) It supports multiple devices connected via Bluetooth which allows me have it connect to both my laptop and mobile phone at the same time. Of course, only one device can play music at the same time. In short, "pros": very decent sound for this size of speaker, small size suitable to be taken with you, good battery life, multiple devices connected via bluetooth, IPX5 water protection (can use it in a bathroom without speaker being damaged by a water vapour). "Cons": well, honestly, cannot fail this speaker in any area. Really happy with this speaker. One thing I was kind of considering is buying PL5 because it would have some extra features, but decided that small size was more important for me. If I want more volume, I could buy another PL2 and "pair" them together. Scenarios to use: listening to music on the go or being away from home, watching movies on a phone or my laptop with the speaker connected - much better sound than from built-in speakers. It is very easy to setup and pair with your device, simply power on and the press the Bluetooth button and it’s paired, I like that you can pair more than one device at a time to it as well, so if your or your partners phone is running out of battery you can change who’s device is playing music. The battery life is very good for a device so small, I have mainly used it outdoors in the garden and it lasts for most of the day. Charging the device is quick and easy using the USB port on the right hand side of the speaker Overall a very good speaker for the price, sound quality is excellent, it’s portable and battery life is good, nothing negative to say about the product, go out and get one.... you won’t regret it!! "
