It's super quick to boil and it can cook nicely both on very hot and simmering softly.

My only niggle with it is that the controls are super sensitive and one time it kept shutting itself off because it had a thing layer of fat on the power button which was barely visible when looking at it from above ! Once we cleaned it, it was fine."
