Not bad, but has some irritating issues

"A pretty standard machine that seems to clean well. Controls are not easy to understand: read the manual carefully. Odd decision to put the cutlery rack at the back, this makes it awkward and fiddly to use unless you take it out each time. Overall not a stellar machine, but there is not much choice now for semi-integrated dishwashers, and this seems good enough."

Hoover smart dishwasher H-Dish 300

"The dishwasher is very good at cleaning , the dishes seem to stack logically and there are choices of how to arrange them, it is also pretty quiet.

It is standard size so fitted into my place perfectly, the half integrated door fitted easily too , in-fact it used the same fittings as my old machine of a different brand!

The app gives much more control over everything and many more programme settings - although it is a bit buggy and this is the only reason I dropped down a star on my rating.

I eventually found out that if the dishwasher can’t be found on the app (pretty much every time I use it) I needed to turn off the mains power to the machine for a few seconds and it seemed to reset and all was well again. This isn’t a problem with my wifi as the connection to the router is solid.

Everything was easy to set up (appwise)in the first place though.

Overall I would recommend this dishwasher but be prepared to work around the buggy app until it is updated.

Hoover dishwasher

"Racks on top shelves make it more difficult to put in larger glasses at the sides. Otherwise great cleaning power"

Good for the price.

"The only reason I bought this brand is because it was the only semi integrated dishwasher available and I needed to replace my old one that had stopped working. I would have preferred a Bosch, AEG or Hotpoint.

I'll start with the good points. Most importantly it washes well, is slightly more spacious than my 17 year old Bosch, has all the programs I need and it is reasonably quiet. However I'm convinced that it was designed by someone who has never used a dishwasher in their entire life! Having the cutlery basket at the back is very inconvenient but I've overcome this problem by using my old Bosch basket which has grooves that enable it to sit over the front right hand side plate racks. The space at the back where it should sit is soon filled by a large pan or salad bowl so no space is wasted. Also the the touch controls are easily accidentally activated simply by brushing past the machine.

I can't see the point of having an app that allows you control the dishwasher from your phone when you still have to push two controls on the front of the machine every time you want to switch it on via the app! A bit of an unnecessary gimmick in my opinion.

But all-in-all, good value for money and it looks good."

Bad buy

"Bought this machine in March, 21. It is a terrible machine and it’s lucky if you can get it go.

When it works it cleans well. I have used a dishwasher for 56 years but never experienced a problem with controls. The instruction book is rubbish and WiFi is impossible to get it connected. Have emailed Hoover for help but so far no call from them. My only way of getting an engineer is to pay over £100 but I refuse to do this. It isn’t broken - only controls will not accept instructions. Other people have had similar problems so don’t fall for this machine. I needed a semi integrated and this seems to be the only one made at the moment. Dorothy."
