"Just what I was looking for. Replaced a Stoves that was nearly 30 years old, as my old one had lasted me so long I was hesitatant to go with another brand. This new stoves oven is very much similar to my old one, simple to operate and cooks great food with enough room in for a family.
The only thing I would improve is the dial as it is sometimes difficult to see what gas mark you have selected, on my old one, it had a small window on top of the dial to show what gas mark you had selected. The new oven has the numbers printed on the fascia and when you turn the the dial is hard to determine what gas mark has been selected as the dial itself has no visible mark on the end and only a very small indentation which is hard to see. I would also of liked the numbers start from the bottom, so that when you turned the dial the higher numbers are easier to see as currently when you turn the dial past gas mark 5/6 it is harder to see the numbers as the dial covers the view and then I have bend down see if I have selected the correct gas mark. I don't think this would me much of an issue if the oven was installed higher up as mine is below my gas stove.
It is also a little hard to tell when the gas has ignited, there is small little round hole in the guard infront of the gas fire but when the oven light is on it is very difficult to see. The only way I have determined the gas to be on is when I can feel the heat after ignition.
Overall this a a great oven and I would not hesitate in recommending it, and it lasts as half as long as my old Stoves oven, I will be very happy."
