Fantastic range oven

"Coming from a dated ceramic hob / oven this Smeg is an outstanding upgrade. The induction hob is game changing and I can boil water quicker than using the kettle.

I have a couple of slight grips which are that there is only one place to mount that anti-tipping bracket which I can't mount to my wall without rerouting my water pipes. Secondly the fan stays on for a long time after switching the oven off, which can be sped up by leaving the door open."

excellent range

"The induction hob is really responsive. The who oven looks great, very smart and so far I couldn't fault it. Love the upstand on the back as it saves food debris going down the back. Great little storage compartment as well. Only downside is that the smaller oven doesn't have a fan assist or pyrolitic cleaning but overall very happy."

"Overall, very good. But few things to note. I didn't realise the small oven didn't have a fan oven - so it takes a little longer to heat up. But once it's on, it does get hot. I'd not had an induction oven before, so I didn't realise that using the hob could involve some noises. I"m now adapting, but you will hear some humming (it can alternate at first) or light thumping noises. But it's not too bad. I love how quickly things heat up using induction. "

Great efficient cooker

"This replaced a combination gas hob/electric cooker.

The hobs are amazingly fast to heat up, boiling a pot of water on the hob is faster than my kettle! Thanks to the efficiency of the induction, cooking is very fast. The multi-zone hobs on the left are great for heating a roasting tin to make gravy. Compared to my gas hob, cleaning is extremely easy, though the cleaning schedule has changed from a big clean every so often to a small clean every time I cook to keep the glass clear of any marks.

The oven is very quick to warm up and has some fancy settings that are supposedly good for different foods. Time will tell if that's true or not.

I've rated it 4 stars for the following things:

The cooling fan runs for 15 minutes or so after using the oven, given we eat in the kitchen that means we have more background noise than we're used to.

The splashback guard is only polished on the oven facing side. Fine if your oven is against a wall but ours is on an island so the unpolished back is visible. It is removable though.

The manual is terrible, but there is a bigger and better one online that actually explains what all the settings mean. Setting the timer for cooking isn't very intuitive either at first.

All in all happy with it notwithstanding these detractions and it's certainly an upgrade on my old oven.
