Excellent

"Beautiful, sleek, classy with a lot of extra room standing at around 6ft tall. Frost free is amazing and slots into a nice area within our kitchen. Much recommended"

Not as good as expected.

"We bought this fridge freezer on the basis of it being a Which? best buy and getting one of the highest scores in their tests.

Unfortunately, the fridge in the first one delivered was not working on arrival and, despite LG insisting it needed at least 24 hours to settle down to the set temperature, still wouldn't get down to and maintain the minimum required 5 degrees C (the default set by LG is 3 degrees) even after 36 hours.

Thankfully AO's customer service staff were very helpful and, despite an initial hiccup, ensured that we had a replacement delivered just two days later.

The replacement very quickly got down to the required temperature although, in our experience to date, the accuracy of the thermostat and stability of temperature is not quite as good as Which? had found. However, it does chill extremely quickly as Which? reported. It also runs very quietly.

The fridge freezer is stylish and good looking in graphite and with concealed handles. However, it is slightly irritating that you have to open the fridge door in order to access the controls and check the temperature setting.

The quality of the shelves, fridge baskets and freezer drawers is rather disappointing. All seem rather thin (worryingly the glass shelves flex slightly!) and we get the impression they will be nowhere near as durable as those in the Siemens fridge freezer that we had previously.

The design of the storage space is, in our opinion poor.

There is no bottle rack. There are two large salad/vegetable draws stretching the width and depth of the fridge but neither have any internal dividers, which makes organising storage and the subsequent retrieval of items difficult.

Furthermore, the design and shape of the drawers means that the standard perspex storage drawers/containers that you can buy to help organise storage, will not fit inside the drawers or indeed front to back on the shelves.

Inside the freezer there is no slimline shelf/draw for ice blocks or ice cube trays. This means that you have to try to stand the supplied ice cube tray level on the contents of one of the drawers until the water is frozen.

This particular model has a remote diagnosis feature that is meant to enable you to transmit a signal via your phone to LG Customer Service who can then determine what fault(s) may exist. However, since LG did not use this when we reported that the first fridge freezer wasn't working properly, this may well be more of a gimmick rather than of any real practical use.

LG also boast that this model has an 'Inverter Linear Compressor', which is meant to be more reliable and has a ten year warranty. However, you should be aware that this warranty only covers parts, not labour, in years 3-10 and there also appear to have been some issues with premature failure of Linear Compressors in the US."

Nothing is perfect, but this is as close as we've seen

"Its silent motor and air circulation make this the ideal fridge. Add the moisture-controlled crisper and it would be hard to get better. The freezer being frost-free also helps make the combination ideal. It is similar to the unit we bought only a couple of years ago before moving back from France to England, and we loved that one.

Nothing is perfect, but this is probably as close as we've seen."

Good product

"So far very pleased. It's quiet, efficient and the drawers run very smoothly on the freezer. Looks stylish, too (graphite) - rather better looking than I'd expected. "

Looks promising, but quite deep

"This f/f was highly recommended elsewhere for its functionality, though we haven't begun using it yet as it sticks out more than we'd hoped next to the 60cm deep kitchen cabinets. I recommend measuring out the space it will take up before you purchase - we're regretting not thinking more about the visual impact!"
