"We have no mains gas where we live so are limited to electric hobs. The old hob we had was hopeless but a work colleague recommended an induction hob and after a fair bit of research we settled on this AEG unit. We have been amazed at how quickly a pan of water will come to the boil, how good the control is and the ease of cleaning compared to the old hob. Yes we had to buy some new pans as not all our old ones would work with induction. However the investment has been money well spent. There is a very slight hum when applying the power boost function but with the extraction fan running we don't notice it.
Installation was also a doddle, I am pretty competent at working with electrics so it was easy for me. However if you had to pay for an electrician to fit one I cannot imagine the cost being too high.
Definitely recommended and cooking on the hob now is much more of a pleasure. "

"New kitchen, new hob. This replaced an older model from a competitor. The technology has improved. It draws slightly less power but heats pans noticeably quicker, especially on boost. Touch controls work every time (which did not on previous hobs) and cooling fans are unobtrusive. Very pleased. "
