"Brought this for my daughter. First issue was that the image (not changed yet!) shows it is a fan oven. Well it is not!. Second issue, the oven glass door gets too hot to touch. Our current oven (CDA) does not get too hot to touch and neither did our last 20 year old Neff. Called Indesit support and they were as useful as a chocolate fire guard, just said very bluntly that that was normal. Issue is my daughter has 2 small kids, lives in a open plan flat so they are in danger of getting burnt. Told him I will not recommend Indesit then!."

"We had very specific needs for a cooker - 50cms width and the height of this cooker was critical for me and it is much easier to lift things out of the oven than my previous one. The space under is useful for storage.
I found it harder to gauge the length of time cooking takes as I had a fan oven before. The dials are poorly placed for the oven as you can't see exactly where the markers are and the fact that you have to select whether you want grill or oven every time is irritating. The hob works fine. Installation was OK apart from the leveling of the feet. You had to lie on the floor to do it and it was difficult.
The grill pan seems to scratch along the grooves which may wear the enamel away over time.
Why only one shelf? If you are making small cakes you need several. It can't cost a lot to have two and people won't then complain. Fitness for purpose is suppose is the watchword and it's not if you want to batch bake.
I seem to have listed the downside but it looks good and as a basic bottom end cooker it is adequate. It was very well packaged which was just as well as the courier tripped and it went down with a bang but no ill effects afterwards.
