"Elegant looking hobs, however, I now know why this model was so much cheaper than the next model up! I was so busy finding a model that fitted into the existing space (length and width), that I forgot about the depth! The old Smeg hobs and the vastly more expensive model, were/are 1cm shallower…. So major modifications to the worktop were needed to fit these, instead of just slotting in! They look good though & hopefully will last the same 20+ years as the previous Smeg hobs."
