When you turn down from a boil to a simmer it is instant.

"Excellent product for the price. Works perfectly, way faster than my old ceramic hob. The extra functions like timer/pause are pretty useful. Haven't used the bridge zone but it's good it is there just in case I need it. Fitting was pretty straightforward, didn't take long at all. The only thing strange was there were no brackets included to secure it to the worktop from the under side. But it is my first induction hob, not sure if that supposed to be like that. Anyway, I really recommend this hob, there is no need to pay £100s more when this one have all you need."
