Useless Hisense Hob

"I bought this on the 26th Feb 2020. It broke down on the 9th Sep. Booked for repair with HiSense repairer - 0800Repair on the 10th Sep. The engineer first came on the 16th Sep. Then, he came back and forth 3-4 times. Then, another engineer came in on the 12th Oct and told me that the work done by the previous engineer was wrong so he ordered new parts to fix the damage. Since then, I've been trying to schedule a follow-up appointment. First, I got booked to 12th Nov but cancelled due to no spare parts. They didn't bother to inform me about this. Then, after a few calls, I managed to book an appointment on the 4th December. No one turned up. Today (10th December), I've been trying to contact them about the status of my repair but my line got cut-off a few times. 1 more week, my hob will be out of action for 3 months.

The hob was faulty7 months old. Then, warranty service has been poor. I tried to contact AO but they passed me to HiSense, which passed me to 0800Repair. No way I will buy this brand again."

Great product, only let down by poor installation by AO fitter!

"Good looking hob, easy to clean, neat operation with individual timers per hotplate. Only let down is how the installation was left, the hob is not fully seated into the work top, I'm guessing the aperture it sits into in the work top needs to be bigger, which is annoying because I paid £100 for AO to fit it properly! Great item - buy it!

"I had my eye on a much higher priced induction hob but when I read the positive reviews for this product I really did wonder why I was wasting almost £300 more - money that could go towards the rest of the kitchen renovation.

I'm so glad I chose this one instead!

It doesn't come with a cable so the electrician connected it up for me. Then literally turn on the power switch and off you go!

I had used an induction hob whilst on holiday and to be honest, whilst I loved it, the owner had left a manual, which you REALLY needed to understand how to use the thing even in a basic way. Not the case with this. It's very obvious what needs to happen. My kids understood it immediately too, which means less stress for me when they're helping out. It immediately switches off if you remove a pan in an emergency, but also, switching it off takes a second. It bleeps when you do things but it's a 'nice' bleep - I doubt it'll ever annoy me. The bleep was something I was a little nervous about. I'd read reviews on other appliances where people had said the bleep was annoying, but this one absolutely isn't.

After cooking on the hob for about 20 minutes the ring is warm but there's no way you could burn yourself and it cools down very quickly. And whilst it cools down, the hob has a little H on it. Hot is for Hot!

A small note on the installation information inside booklet - it's horrific. There's no template for cutting out your worktop and instead about 463 technical drawings with dimensions but no explanations. Probably fine if you have a science degree. I managed to work it out in the end just by using common sense and ignoring the booklet.

All in all though, a fabulous item. Can't imagine why you'd want to spend any more money, and can't imagine what else you'd want it to do.

It heats things. Does what it says on the tin."
