"Tumble dryer was stored carefully for several months before installation. Upon first use it made scraping and banging noises. Upon removing the top I found that a dent in the left hand side had pushed the side against the drum, causing the noise. Rather than go through the bother of a return and because I'm an engineer, I fixed the dent and the dryer is now operating normally. Looking through the reviews it seems a dent in the side that causes loud noises when in use are a common fault when these Hoover products are new. Also the user interface is very poor. I wouldn't buy again. Hoover tech support said to run the machine for 5 hours to make the noise go away. Unfortunately that's not how dent removal works. 0/10 for Hoover."
