Just what we needed!

"Our old Dryer gave up the ghost and, with a toddler, we needed a new one pretty sharpish!

We think this is great! We had our old one for around 10 years so of course there's been improvements since then but honestly we are really impressed with this one. The water tray in the door is somewhat genius, the huge drum is a great bonus too and the clothes are coming out beautifully dry and warm but I'm not burning myself in Jean buttons!

I'd seen some reviews say it was loud, but we haven't noticed that at all :) would recommend!"

AO amazing as ever, but the jury is still out on this dryer

"I'm still getting used to this dryer. I used to have a 3kg White Knight vented dryer, which only had two buttons. Life was simpler than. I chose this one because I like Candy and I also wanted a dryer with a reverse action drum, as this stops the clothes getting so tangled up. The first thing I noticed about this dryer was that the pump makes a loud 'heart beat' noise which makes the floor shake. I'm in a flat and so I'm really worried about the neighbours downstairs complaining. I rang AO and they put me on a conference call with Candy, who reassured me that this would improve when the dryer settles in. It needs to run around 10 full programmes to settle. You need to be careful not to mix loads or overload the dryer. Mixing clothes with wetter items like towels won't deliver a good outcome. Don't put anything in that's rubber backed like bath mats as this can cause a fire (same for all dryers). Candy said I shouldn't put in a full 8kg load, but keep it to half. That being said, it does dry very well. Modern heat pump dryers take hours to do one load, so if you do a lot of washing you are probably better off with a vented dryer. I have about 8 medium towels in it at the moment, it's going to take about 3 hours. I haven't managed to get the hang of any of the timer options, it just beeps furiously at me, so I just let it get on with it. So I would say, if you can put this on the ground floor in a utility room and you don't need it more than once a day, you'll be fine. I don't go out and leave it because the filter needs cleaning during the 3 hour period. It just stops and waits for me to clean it. Also, I wouldn't leave it alone anyway, because tumble dryers have a bad reputation as a fire hazard. "

Heat pump dryer

"This is the first heat pump tumble dryer I’ve had. It works well and us not too noisy to have in the kitchen. There are a lot of standard settings, which is fine. However the booklet explaining the different settings did not clearly explain how to manually choose options on the dashboard, but we figured it out eventually. "

I did, think you should too.

"I went from a table top tumble dryer to this bad boy. Probably more advanced machines than this out there but I love this box. It's not the quietest but it does the job, its efficient energy wise and easy to use."
