The instruction book states that steam collecting inside or around the outside of the door is normal and should be wiped out. However, our microwave door, when open, slightly overhangs the kitchen work surface so the very hot water which has collected on the inside lower edge of the door drips onto the floor or our feet. A large amount of hot water accumulates inside the roof of the microwave and drips down to form puddles under the glass plate and onto one’s hands when removing items.
This microwave is probably suitable for re-heating ready meals but not for the cooking of items such as raw vegetables in water. It appears there is insufficient ventilation inside the microwave to remove the steam created.
We were not aware of the internal dimensions of this microwave before we purchased it. We find that the internal height is insufficient for a microwaveable packet (e.g. rice) to stand upright in the correct cooking position.
