"It’s a great hob which heats up almost instantly and is easier to control than my gas hob and it looks lovely! Very sleek and matches my hotpoint oven. But, I can’t put a chopping board (or anything) on one of the unused rings whilst I’m cooking as it is so sensitive it beeps and turns things on and off. With having a relatively small kitchen I need to use some of it for side space and it is something I did all the time with my old gas hob. I’ve not tried all the functions yet but it doesn’t seem to sense when somethings burning and turn off - I tested this by putting a frying pan on and leaving it to see, it didn’t do anything - I have teenagers in the house who forget they are cooking occasionally so it was a feature I wanted and thought was on this one. Also, it doesn’t instantly cool down like I assumed induction hobs did and the engineer told me it did. It takes a little while before it is cool to touch - luckily I don’t have little children in the house as that would worry me. I’ve not used the timers yet but they are going to be very handy when I am busy! It doesn’t like being cleaned - I have to switch it off at the wall otherwise it beeps like crazy the moment I get the controls wet until I dry them. That’s pretty annoying! But overall I am very happy with it and look forward to trying out the different functions"
"Fantastic product. Super sleek style, easy clean and simple to use. Saves money in the long run on your energy bill, what’s not to like. Heats up as quick as you like but make sure you have correct pans for cooking as you might be stood there a while wondering why is it not working. Definitely would buy again if needed too. "

"I bought this hob in Nov and in March it has stopped working due to a faulty circuit. We are now in may and Hotpoint have refused to replace the item as they say they can fix it. I have been without a hob for more than 7 weeks in lockdown with 3 children. I would not buy anything for hotpoint as their aftercare service has been appalling. I understand the difficulties faced during this time, however they should have replaced the product and taken into consideration that I have a family. "

"Our first induction hob. We chose it for the sliders feature which makes it easy to change the temp up and down. So far we're very happy with the hob. Simple to use and the manual gave us all the info we needed on the auto cook function. It's very responsive (a joy after our old electric hob). "
