Excellent Product

"I received the microwave a few days ago and am very pleased with my purchase. As an appliance in my kitchen it matches perfectly. I am quite impressed with its versatility and especially welcome is its ability to perform a cleaning operation. I have been very pleased with its performance so far."

A bit disappointed

"A good price but did not like having to pull the door open or how to change the cooking times. Looks good & size for cooking is great. Had to return as there was a fault with it in the fact that condensation was in between the glass of the door. "

Big microwave at a good price but fiddly to use

"- This was bought to replace a disappointing product by another manufacturer that failed after just over 2 years in use. Modern economics means that it is cheaper to buy a new microwave than it is to repair the old one.

- Overall, this Hotpoint is a good size and the price was right but it is fiddly to use.

- Opening the door can be tricky: there is a recess beneath the front that acts as a place to put your fingers to open the door. it is a very fiddly operation compared to a straightforward handle or a button on the front that opens the door.

- The control buttons are marked on a flush plastic panel and it is fiddly to find the exact spot to press to activate each control.

- There is no short cut to set the cooking time in minutes: our previous microwave had buttons for 10 mins, 1 min and individual seconds. On this one, you have to hold down one of the difficult-to-find buttons until you reach the time you want to set.

- Strange that baked potatoes are not one of the items in the 'auto-cook' menu but popcorn is.

- The sounds are annoying (not just a straightforward beep) so we have turned them off completely. Obviously, Hotpoint considered this option so important that it has its own mute button on the control panel. We'd have preferred straightforward beeps in place of a flourish, then we'd not need to turn the sounds off.

- We've given the product 3 stars at the moment because we have not discovered any operational faults but we can't give more because of the points made above."

Great product

"We’re really pleased with our new microwave. It’s not too big but the space inside is really useful. Love the cleaning function too."

Great Microwave

"Does what it says it does! Looks really nice and fits in well with the kitchen. All the functions seems to work really well and it is easy to use.

Only thing that would make it better is a button to open the door as it is a little stiff sometimes to open by pulling the bottom. "
