"For me, this combination microwave packs a punch when it comes to options.
As a microwave it is very efficient, and I liked how you can select different levels of power.
The self cleaning feature is also great, and reasonably simple.
As a grill and fan assisted oven, this nicely cooked a pie and kept the pastry crisp.
There are also a suite of preset options; the pizza mode was fun to use!
Me and my wife both also agreed that the microwave is reasonably quiet, a big plus with a newborn baby in our house.
The general look and build quality are great, and you feel its a quality product when you set it up.
In terms of criticisms, I did find the microwave complicated at first; the instruction manual involved a lot of study! Make sure you keep this handy.
The fan and grill also took a little time to heat up.
Lastly, it is fairly large; the back of the microwave sticks out a fair amount, so bear this in mind. Might not be suitable for a small kitchen.
Another small thing, but the microwave door doesn't pop open when you press a button. It's sounds silly, but I always find that more convenient on a microwave. With this model you have to pull the door open, which is fairly sturdy, and feels like a small inconvenience that could have been avoided with design.
Having said all this, I feel the pros outweigh the cons, and I would recommend this."

"Ive been using the Hotpoint microwave now for about a week and so far ive been very happy with my experience. The overall look is very stylish and blends in very nicely with my black/chrome colour scheme. The only downfall of the outside for me is the fact that it picks up finger prints very easily so i find myself buffing it fairly often.
Theres no handle as such, therefore to open the door you place your finger tips in the groove under the bottom of the door and pull which Ive found quite easy. The inside of the microwave is spacious and comes complete with a 2 tiered chrome rack which comes in 2 pieces. The micro function is powerful and i’ve found my food heated evenly throughout.
It has the option of adjusting the time whilst in use should you require it. The combi air (oven) i’ve used a couple of times to cook ready meals and found the heat distributed was even and the meal cooked nicely and within the time recommended on the packaging. I used the defrost function to defrost bread and i found it quick and offered good results without turning the bread rubbery.
Although its a handy function to have, i would always prefer to leave the food to defrost naturally as its never quite the same. The grill heats up fast however I had to keep a close eye on the food as it cooked very quickly. I would say you could burn your food easily if left unattended.
The noise of the appliance whilst cooking i would say is as expected although i found the fan a little on the loud side.
Cleaning is easy and to have a self cleaning function is great especially if you're going to use the oven combi air function quite alot. Overall I found this microwave very easy to use, however you really need to give the manual a good read as could be complicated if you're planning on using the programme modes, but with time this would ease. I would recommend this product to all my family and friends."
