"This is a large appliance, standing about 6 feet tall. It is frost-free so there is no need or trouble to defrost it.
It comes with a very large manual because it contains instructions in several languages. However, the manual is redundant since it does not cover this model. Instead, there is a small pamphlet with user instructions.
When either the fridge or freezer is opened, an electronic display shows the temperatures of the freezer and the fridge. It is possible to set different modes for economy or holiday. I have mine in eco mode, where the fridge is at 5 degrees and the freezer at -18 degrees.
With the freezer unit having five trays of equal capacity there is plenty of opportunity to distribute the frozen food in various ways. I would have liked to have seen a tray or shelf in it dedicated solely for making ice. In addition, there is a full-depth and width tray for keeping vegetables and fruit fresh.
The fridge has three shelves and six positions for them. LED lights on both sides of the fridge make it easy to see what is in there - that is a really useful feature. In the door, there are two full-width door trays and two half-width door trays, but only one of them is adjustable to make room for tall bottles. It would have been nice to have had an under-shelf rack for holding bottles or cans."

"We bought this Hoover fridge freezer to replace a previous Hoover fridge freezer which only lasted 27 months (fingers crossed this one lasts longer). Despite being much the same dimensions as the older model the capacity inside is much, much bigger in the freezer - with better designed drawers. The shelves in the fridge are all a touch higher too, which is great. The light in the fridge is also really good and the alarm on both fridge and freezer makes us wonder why the older model didn't have one on its freezer. This one is very deep however, so it stands out further than the run of units it is next to. This means that a few inches of the side is visible, and they are just dark gray, not stainless steel."
