"Got this fridge, reversed the door and screws on the bottom hinge were blinded by the frame of the frige and I couldn’t get them in properly. Middle hinge between the two doors have dimples as a guide to where the screws go for reversing the door. Impossible to get it by hand. Should they have been pre drilled holes? No idea. Indesit didn’t even know when I contacted them. Ao.com sorted me out and replaced it with an identical model.
But... same problem. In fact, a tad worse with lining up the screws. The door is reversed but all 5 screws are protruding. Not satisfactory at all. Last advice from indesit is to use a drill to get the screws in. That also didn’t work.
Also, nowhere in the manual does it say leave for 4 hours before switching back on after it being on its back. Only thing in the manual I found was to leave it for 15 mins.
Coronavirus means not appropriate for an engineer visit to sort it. So I’m left in limbo with doors only sort of secured and no prospect of getting it fixed. In fairness ao.com did offer me an alternative but that means I’ll have three lots of packaging to dispose of and there is a shed load on each fridge! Plus third inconvenience of unloading fridge, getting new one, reversing door and finally getting the new one in place.
Rant over. Still unresolved. Ao.com been fine with this. Their problem is that they’ve chosen to stock this model.
