"Brought as a emergency purchase as previous fridge freezer by Hoover unexpectedly died after 2 1/2 years and upon researching repairs found it was cheaper to and faster to buy a new appliance?!? (Profits over environmental concerns hay Hoover?!?!!) Initial impression is the new appliance is a good quality fridge freezer from Hotpoint. Black is lovely and glossy and didn’t arrive with lots of stickers all over it which can ruin the finish when removed as I’ve experienced with previous appliances. Good size inside for all our essentials and door is a good depth and strength to hold several 2ltr fizzy drink bottles and wine easily. Salad and veggie draws at bottom of main compartment good size to fit whole iceberg lettuce and more in one compartment and keep food fresh so less food waste. Temperature is nice and cool. Easy to adjust. Love the fact I will never have to defrost it!!! Shelves also adjustable. Freezer roomy. Added bonus is top shelf has hinged door rather than pull out shelf so much easier to put in ice cube trays without sloppy spills. Reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that can be a little noisy. Generally very quiet but as temperatures adjusted heat a whurring noise. That maybe just befits settling and as we are in the middle of a heatwave as I type this. Also be aware that has moulded plug so if you want to change it, say if you wire your appliances directly into walls as many fridges in house require you cannot do this without cutting off the plug which voids the manufacturers warranty. All in all would recommend buying this fridge freezer... just hope it lasts longer than the last one! "
