"Do not buy this cooker. It stinks of hot mechanical oil. We have tried two, as advised by the manufacturer that the first must be a freak fault, the second was just the same. We left the oven on on both for over 4 hours with no sign of it getting any better. We had to leave the house on both occasions as it was that bad. It is not the normal initial burn off smell; it is an inherent issue. I think the formed metal at the back (not part of the oven itself so it doesn’t burn off) has been sprayed with oil to prevent corrosion. Could well have happened before Amica got their hands on it. Either way the fumes from it are disgusting, gave me a headache and made my wife and I feel sick. I am very annoyed that I unwittingly subjected my family to this. AO have subsequently supplied another brand of cooker which doesn’t smell ( an initial burn off smell as expected but soon cleared after 10 minutes ), but AO have not compensated or apologised for this quite frankly alarming product. "
